Scholarships
In June 2004, Trinity Episcopal Day School established The Opportunity Fund, a scholarship program designed to provide to moderate-income families with access to high-quality early childhood education. The fund provides needs-based partial scholarships to families for whom full tuition costs are prohibitive and yet whose incomes do not allow them to qualify for state tuition subsidies. In 2007, the fund was renamed The Ginger Robertson Opportunity Fund in honor of our school's former director, who retired that year after serving TEDS for 24 years.
Scholarship forms for the 2010-2011 school year will be posted in early 2010. Please contact the TEDS office at 918-582-2556 with questions. Applications will be handled as confidential and will not become a part of a student's school records.
School director Pamela Goodwin says that the vision of The Opportunity Fund is to maintain a superior early childhood education and enrichment climate and ensure its accessibility to the broadest possible community demographics.
"I firmly believe, as do the clergy of Trinity parish, that high quality early childhood education should be available to all families," Goodwin says. "We have noticed a crucial gap in access that often prevents moderate-income families from having optimal choices in early education enrichment. The Opportunity Fund is a way for us to fill that gap and fulfill the church's greater outreach mission to the community."
Members of the community are welcome to make tax-deductible contributions to The Opportunity Fund and may do so in care of Trinity Episcopal Day School at 222 East 5th Street, Tulsa, OK 74103.
